Pooly Pooly

Pooly Pooly is a water friendly creation made of Spandex. Spandex fits closely around the body and absorbs almost no water, so it dries quickly after swimming or relaxing in the pool.
Who hasn’t been in a situation where you would have loved to just jump in the water while being dressed-up? The only way is to dig out your inventory to find just the right bathing suit. With Pooly Pooly that’s a thing of the past; this creation is a bathing suit as well as a dress all at once. Just remove your skirt and jump in ! Pooly Pooly comes with three different skirts: a long skirt, which makes the ensemble in an elegant evening-dress; a short skirt that combined with the top becomes a nice summer dress; and an ultra mini skirt which can be worn as a decorative ruche on the bathing suit. The ‘bare’ Pooly Pooly, without skirts, is a tight and modern bathing suit in which it’s nice to relax without giving away too much of yourself.

Spanish Rose

Spanish Rose is a strapless evening-dress made of pleated Chinese silk. The top fits tight around the body and the skirt flares out towards the bottom. The flexible skirt is covered in ruches. The sweetheart neckline is lined-up with rosettes (prims).
The dress comes with a hair ornament that can be worn on the side or at the back of the head.



The product contains: a top, a long flexible skirt, prims rosettes and 2 hair ornaments (left side and back side of the head).
The dress is available in red, black and in a red-black combination.

Pearls Vest

Pearls Vest is a vest with short sleeves and can be worn open as well as closed. Precious Argentinian silk was used as basic material for the crochet vest. The particularity of this vest is that it has been stitched with hunderds of Freshwater pearls. The edge of the garment has been casually finished so the clothing which is worn underneat is visible through the small holes. A combination of silk and linen has been used in the edge.

The vest can be nicely combined with a strapless dress or top, or even on the naked skin.

Bottled Poetry

Bottled Poetry is a sleeveless cocktaildress made of Chinese silk, draped in horizontal layers. The front features a plunging collar, which forms the sweatheart neckline and covers the draped fabric that waves itself around the body. The smooth structure of the collar is repeated in the hem-line of the skirt. The dress closes with a zipper on the back and is combined with a modern choker.

This dress is suitable for cocktail hour or a party in the evening. Not to get you out of tune, an alcoholic beverage matching the colour of the dress is delivered in your package.

Withered Roses

Withered Roses is a short jacket made of wrinkeled Doupioni silk. Doupioni is such a very light silk that you hardly notice that you are wearing a jacket. The front of the jacket is finished with ruches which are repeated on the extremities of the sleeves. The jacket can be worn open or can be closed with silk strings.

The jacket is suitable to be worn with a dress, a top or blouse or even on the naked skin, maybe in combination with a beautiful bra.

It is available in : white, black, pink, lilac, light-blue, soft green and vanilla.

Athena

Athena is a stylish dress that can be worn on many occasions. The crochet dress is made from a yarn with worked in silk and a very fine metal wire. The fairly roughly made crochet gives the dress a particular structure. The metal wire adds to the textures sturdiness while the silk enables the fabric to fit smoothly and to caress the skin pleasantly. The dress can be worn both with a long or a short skirt.

The dress is combined with a broad leather belt that gives the ensemble a smooth and somewhat tough look. On top of it, Madame delivers a transparent and flexi scarf in the same earthy tone as the belt. All together a very elegant but playful combination.

48 Buttons

48 Buttons is a pure wool outfit consisting of a coat jacket which can be combined with either a tea length fold skirt or a shorter skirt. The jacket has got an unique and distinctive design element: it contains no less than forty-eight buttons, seventeen on the front, fifteen on the back and sixteen on the sleeves.

The line of the skirt goes tight along the hips throughout stitched seams that flow into the folds at the bottom part. The texture of these skirt folds has been designed following the pattern and colour of the jacket.

The skirt has two layers: a short thight skirt and a short flexi skirt with translucent pleats that flare out a little and give a special image to this skirt. The skirt is flexi and moves while walking and dancing.

A blog that started too late...

Finally I decided to start a blog for Madame Haute Couture, my ladies clothing brand in Second Life.

Madame is no fashion, Madame is Haute Couture. Madame is a brand that aims for quality.


I started designing clothes in february 2008. I'm not the type of designer that makes two, three dresses a week. I need time to create, to develop the idea and most important to develop the textures. I pay a lot of attention to details and to the fabrics I use in the designs. I want the seems to match, I want to accentuate the female form in the fabric by light and shadow.

In my product pics I try to show the clothes as they are in SL. You can see a front, a back and a side of each design. I don't want customers to buy clothes, of which the weak points are hidden by photo's that show just one side of the product. Besides of that I give my customers the oppertunity to try the clothes before they buy them. I make demo's of all my products. The demo's are available in my main shop in Peacock Park
